Which daily newspapers (if any) do you read?
- Sometimes pick up a 'METRO' newspaper at the station.
What sections of newspapers do you turn to first, and why?
- I turn to the back as its the sports section as I find it most fun and interesting to read.
What sections do you never read, and why?
- There is a section that holds all the advertisements which has nothing to do with me.
What kinds of stories do you usually read and why?
- Stories that are based in the sports section as they are interesting for me to read.
Do you, or someone else, buy the newspaper you read?
- It is the only one i ever sometimes read and its for free so no
Do you look at the online versions of any newspapers? Which newspapers? Why do you visit their website and not others?
- I haven't been on any online versions of newspapers as I'm not really interested in news and rarely read them.
Magazines
What magazines (if any) do you buy regularly? Why?
- I don't buy magazines as i find them boring to read as everything is over the top and most don't have real news.
What sections of the magazines do you read and not read, and why?
Television
Approximately how many hours a week do you spend watching television?
What times of day do you usually watch television?
- In the evening when i have free time.
What programs do you like best and why?
- Don't watch shows rather movies.
Do you watch alone or with others? If you watch with others, who decides what you will watch?
- Mostly watch a good movie that is on once or twice a week with the family and basically whoever has the remote.
Do you watch 'live' TV or on-demand/catch-up? Do you use any other devices to watch TV (such as laptop of tablet?)
- Used to watch on demand to get the new GOT episodes in the morning as they came out at 2 am.
Cinema

- I have watched Sausage party.

- I have watched Videos on demand

- Got bored with walking so decided to go to the first movie available.
Online
How often do you access the internet?
- Most of the time during the day.
Where do you access the internet? At home, at college or school, or at work?
- I access the internet at home, school and outside the house.
What are the main sites that you access?
- Main sites are google, gmail and YouTube.
What are the main reasons for accessing these sites – for example, for information, to make purchases, communicate with friends or for entertainment?
- Entertainment for YouTube, Google for searching up and Gmail for communication .
What other activities (if any) do you do whilst accessing the internet?
- Use apps such as Snapchat and Instagram
What different devices do you use to access the internet? What is your primary device for accessing the internet?
- My Mobile phone as I carry it on me most of the time meaning I can access the internet anytime.
What social networks do you use regularly (e.g. Twitter, Instagram)? Why do you belong to these networks in particular?
- I use Instagram as its a way of posting pictures and seeing friends pictures as well as Snap chat as its a way of communicating with friends easily.
Reflection
How can you develop the amount and variety of media you consume?
- Start watching and reading more media sources to develop on what I consume on the daily.
What will you change in your media consumption habits this year as a result of studying A Level Media?
- Look at more media sources to study the different techniques they use as a way of revising and learning.
List three sources of media (websites/newspapers/apps/TV programmes etc.) that you will start to access this year that you haven't engaged with previously.
- An online newspaper such as the telegram, start to read Daily Mail and I will try to watch more TVm shows.
